On this day, Parks Canada and the Royal Canadian Navy will host a special ceremony to officially designate HMCS Haida the Ceremonial Flagship of the Royal Canadian Navy. We invite the public to participate in this momentous occasion and will provide FREE ENTRY all day to the site.
Take part in this special ceremony at 10:30 am, followed by a day of interactive and engaging programming.
After the ceremony, there will be food concessions available as well as fun activities and interactive displays for the whole family to enjoy until 5 pm.
Don’t miss the sunset ceremony at 8:30 pm, after which time Haida will be transformed as she is illuminated as a memorial to the fallen in the Battle of the Atlantic.
Sunday, May 27
The celebration continues on Sunday with family-friendly activities and interactive displays that will be available from 10 am until 4 pm. Regular admission fees apply.
